Project Update/Anticipated Work
Verizon plans to finish all utility transfers by the end of October. They will coordinate with Amorello to adjust their manhole covers for paving work this fall.
Eversource will also coordinate with Amorello to adjust their structures for paving. Amorello will adjust the Comcast manholes and town water/sewer structures.
Amorello is scheduled to be onsite the week of October 13. Work will include curbing and sidewalk repairs on the west end of the project. Amorello plans to complete final paving on the west side of the project beginning at the end of October. MassDOT will inspect the intermediate course of pavement prior to final paving. Street sweeping will occur before final paving to ensure the roadway is clear.
Weston Nurseries has confirmed they have all trees. Amorello’s landscaping subcontractor plans to start planting the week of October 20.
Driveway adjustments and repaving are planned for the 35 Main Street/Hoyt Way entrance. This work may be scheduled this fall if time allows. The Hoyt Way outlet will need to be 2-way during this construction. The contractor will coordinate with the Town and Police Department on this. The property owners will be notified when work is to start.
